4. Berrima District Historical & Family History Society

The Berrima Historical Society was founded in 1960 to encourage the study of Australian, local and family history, to establish a museum and a permanent archive for the preservation of the documentary and material heritage of the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. Their Collections cover the major towns of Bowral, Mittagong, Moss Vale, Robertson and Berrima and the many villages.

The Society has an extensive collection of photographs and pictures relating to the Southern Highlands and beyond, dating from the 1870’s. Membership is open to all with an interest in history, genealogy, museums and heritage conservation.
